Just like crafting a healthy, toned body, trusting ourselves and others can take time and practice.

A few years ago, I was in a very unhealthy relationship that flipped my self-worth upside down.

It was so toxic that I couldn't trust myself or others after it ended because of the rollercoaster ride of emotional manipulation.

During my recovery, I worked with a psychologist that dealt me some hard truths about myself & how I got into that mess.

Lack of boundaries, low-self esteem, and a tendency to ignore the red flags when in love set me up for an abusive relationship.

Trusting others first before REALLY trusting myself is a BIG no-no, and so when the abuse was happening, I was like a child relying on a parent to protect me, but that parent was just a child too and hurting terribly.

Again, "Trust takes time and should be earned."

Take that into today's workout with you, and allow yourself to be patient with your health goals.
